Design Wall Monday

A week passed before I touched my sewing machine. It was a stressful week at work and I was tired at night. But yesterday I did sew a little.
Three more blocks for the High Cotton/Simple Comforts quilt. There was other fabric play, ironing the fabrics under the blocks shown, for a cutting session of more block pieces. And I got my doll quilt basted for Lori's (Humble Quilts) swap.
Hmm. A bit blurry but you'll get the idea. These blocks were also from the Kim Diehl book, Simple Comforts.
This is the back of the doll quilt. I'll be combining some machine quilting and big stitch accents. Only two weeks to deadline!  See more design walls on Judy's Patchwork Times.

I do like the back of the doll quilt. It would also make a great block.

I'm glad you got to play with fabric. Work stress is not fun!
Love the doll quilt.

Your High Cotton blocks are looking good!
I also really like the pattern you chose for your doll quilt. I made a table runner from that pattern and gifted it. I have a few blocks left from it and this gives me ideas! : )

Time with Kim Diehl projects and blocks can definitely be helpful with de-stressing after a bad work week. Hopefully this next week will be better.
Cute little doll quilt in progress. I didn't sign up in time, but I'm enjoying watching over a few blogging shoulders, watching what's being made.

Sigh...I really like your Simple Comfort blocks...I've been eyeing them for a while but I simply cannot start another project (I'm repeating that 10 times, hopefully it will work). The doll quilt is great! Love the pieced back.

I love what is on your design wall.... There are weeks that go past and I too don't touch a machine but not because of work...just because.

I love Kim's designs and I know you enjoyed the project despite the stressful week. Maybe things at work will begin to lighten up a bit.

Fun blocks! Sometimes you have to take a break. There must have been some bad vibes in the air last week because I was in the same boat.
